Fiberglass Geogrid

The Fiber Glass range of products consists of grids of woven alkali-resistant glass fiber covered with a bitumen based coating that protects the fiber and ensures good adhesion with asphalt. These grids have very high tensile strength at low strain required to minimize the fatigue cracking of asphalt. The resulting reinforced asphalt layer is extremely resilient to a premature reflective cracking, this is particularly important as asphalt concrete typically cracks at low strains.

When the Fiber Glass System is sandwiched between the leveling course and the surface course in an asphalt overlay, it becomes the hidden strength in the road, turning vertical crack stresses horizontally to effectively dissipate them.

  1. Airport runways, taxiways, aprons.

  2. Highways and toll plazas

  3. City roads

  4. Industrial roads

  5. Parking lots, bridges, asphalting on distressed PCC surface

  • Increased useful life of the overlay.

  • Retards reflective cracking.

  • Higher fatigue resistance.

  • Possible reduction in overlay thickness.
